To all the Wolves fans, we are going to start to use the blog as an opportunity for you to learn about some of the greatest basketball players to ever have played the game. The first video is going to be of Michael Jordan, this presents a quick 6 minute introduction to the player and shows some highlights from the early part of his career. He is truely one of the greats and will hopefully inspire you all onto bigger and better things on the court. Enjoy!!!!!
I have added the full game schedules for the under 14 boys and girls and the under 16 boys. These can frequently change, so I will try my hardest to keep these as up to date as possible.
All Wolves training will still be running over the October Holidays at the normal times and venues. There are no changes to
The first meeting of this years West Lothian Primary School League happened on Friday 7th October. The first day was a great success with over 100 children representing their schools or the West Lothian Wolves club themselves.
There are a total of 11 teams in the league this year, 9 school teams and two teams from the West Lothian Wolves.
Please go over to the Primary School Squad page for information on the league, including the league table and also for information on training times of the primary school development squad.
Sundays game for the Div 1 men has been cancelled. There is a problem with the venue hire for the game.
There are now attachements on the calendar which have all the fixtures for the Under 14 boys and girls and the under 16 boys. If you click on the required event and click more details you will be taken to a page where you will see an attachment that you can click.
I will attach these to each calendar entry next week and put up instructions how to view the attachments on the Calendar page.
Thanks for your patience.
The upcoming weekend will be a busy one for the Wolves Basketball Club. Both Senior Men's teams are in action with the Division 2 side facing off against the Pleasance tonight and the Division 1 side playing The Prestige on Sunday. Also on the Sunday the under 14 girls, boys and under 16 boys all have games.
To kick the weekend off the first day West Lothian Primary School League gets underway this afternoon at Deans Community High School.
We will work to get match updates on all games early next week to keep you all up to date. Also the club calendar will be updated with each teams games with times and venues. I am sorry that this has not been done up to now
The club committee has decided to move the Under 14 training from Friday afternoons to a Thursday evening.
Training will now take place at James Young High School from 8.00-9.45pm. This is a late training session for a young age group, however the timing of the training is due to hall hire constraints.
Both Boys and Girls will be training together with Stephanie Lynch heading the sessions, supported by Grant Dickson.
These sessions will start on Thursday 6th October.
