The Wolves U16 Women headed to Grangemouth on Saturday to complete their regular season with games against Grampian Flyers and City of Edinburgh, knowing that two wins would secure an unbeaten National League Division 2 season and 1st seed in the playoff Semi-Finals.
The Wolves started their first game shakily against Grampian, with the girls struggling in the early stages to deal with the speed of some of Grampian's key players. The girls recovered their composure to take an impressive win 77-18.
The next game was a much more daunting task, with City of Edinburgh travelling with 7 Division 1 players included in their D2 Squad. Although a challenge, and while supported by the many parents and supporters who had made the journey to Grangemouth, the Wolves showed their desire to get promoted was very strong, despite having a squad which included players as young as 12 years old, they took the win 65-47.
The Wolves left their coaches beaming with pride as their skills, team work, defence and overall team spirit showed the steady improvements throughout the season have left them with a solid unit which is ready for the playoff challenge in February.
The U18 Men welcomed Stirling Knights to Armadale Academy tonight for the first time this season, looking to end Knights current unbeaten run in the National League.
The Knights took an early 8-0 lead, despite some excellent play from the wolves that was very unlucky not to lead to baskets. Wolves fought back within the 1st Quarter, bringing the score to within 3, before 2 of Knight's 6 3-pointers extended the lead again with the 1st Quarter ending 6-17.
A poor second quarter from the Wolves left them 35 pts behind at Half Time but the sensational support from members of our U12 Boys and Girls squads kept the players going to the end. A much better second half from the Wolves was a positive sign but unfortunately did not undo the score from the 1st.
Final Score: West Lothian Wolves 50-91 Stirling Knights
Wolves Top Scorers - John McGinlay (12), William Wardrop (9), Sean McDonald & Jack Baxter (8)

The Senior Women, who have showed steady improvement since the introduction of new Head Coach, Dave Evans, played host to Dunfermline Reign at Linlithgow Academy last night.
Reign, who are currently 1 position above the Wolves in 6th place in the Women's Lothian League, led the entire game but were unable to fully pull away from a gritty Wolves side.
Reign took the win 59-37 and Wolves now look forward to the Christmas break before heading to Dunfermline in January to seek revenge.
Senior Men (National League D2):
West Lothian Wolves 57-50 Boroughmuir Blaze
U18 Men (National League D2):

This weekend was one for the record books with the Wolves securing a Male and Female Scottish Cup Final place in the same year for the very first time.
Sunday started with the U16 Men travelling to Dundee for a tough game with Div 1 opposition Tayside Musketeers. In a game that stayed tight through all four quarters, the men kept their cool to secure the win and their place in the final, 84-79.
Next up was the U18 Women who secured their place in the final in style with a 102-64 Win, in which the Wolves led all four quarters by some distance.
Both teams will now head to the Lagoon in Paisley on Saturday 30th January for their Scottish Cup Finals.
On Saturday, we have exciting back-to-back fixtures at Armadale Academy.
At 12.40pm, The Senior Men welcome Boroughmuir Blaze for the first time this season, with both teams hoping to move into 2nd Place in the National League D2.
At 2pm, The U18 Men look to avenge a 112-78 loss from earlier in the season when they welcome Grampian Flyers.
