Another Wolves player has been selected to play for Scotland in this summers international season. Rachel Wallace, who plays for the Wolves under 14 squad has been successful at the Scotland Trials held on Saturday 10th March. Rachel has been asked to train and play for the Scotland u13 squad this summer.
Rachel is part of the West Lothian Excellence in School Sports Programme. This is a local authority lead high performance sports programme for talented athletes in a range of sports. Rachel currently receives a basketball skills training session and a strength and conditioning session each week on top of her club training. All the additional training is in the early morning before the school day, which shows the dedication she has to improving her game, as well as the support of her family to get her out of bed and to practice early in the morning.
We will be following Rachel and the other Wolves players as they train and compete with the Scotland Squads over the summer.
Well done Rachel and good luck this summer
