Q1. How has your season been so far??
"The season has been awesome. With this being our first year in Division 1, the girls have really stepped up to the big stage and worked hard to get a 4th place finish in the league.
This great finish was down to the hard work that coach Javi Ramos installed in the girls [before heading to Canada]. I'm sure you would say that the SPARQs have had a good effect on the players. Hahahahahaha!
Everyone at the Wolves are extremely proud of the girls and we are looking forward to alot of bright futures."
Q2. What do you think has been your toughest game this season and why??
"Our last game against Glasgow Lady Rocks was the toughest game by far. We only had 7 players available for this game and some of them were as young as U13.
The young Wolves worked hard during this game and never put their heads down. Led by the experience of Molly McHugh, they kept fighting during the game and at some stages showed why they should be proud to be in Division 1."
Q3. What has been your favourite game this season and why??
"Without a doubt, the best game of the season was against St Mirren at Renfrew Leisure Centre. The ball movement, decision making and hustle shown on the day was amazing.
We finished the game with an 8pt win but were up by as much as 21 points at one stage. We had several parents, from both teams, telling us that the score didnt reflect the way that we played on the day. That was great to hear."
Q4. How are you feeling going into this year's playoffs??
"I'm excited for the playoffs. It's another game that I get the privilege to coach these talented youngsters. No matter what happens at the weekend, it's been a great season and next season will be even better for them."
Q5. If you could add one player you have faced this year at your age group to your squad, who would it be and why??
"Oh, that's a tough question!
There are great players out there in the league. We have faced so many players that can do so many things.
Laura Collins, Pauli Storie and Rachel Penman have all been great against us.
If I had to choose one though, it would have to be Rosie Wallace. She has the height, wingspan and determination on both offence and defence. We have struggled to match up against her this season."
