Q1. How has your season been so far??
"This season has been a transition season. With only 2 players remaining from last season's U18 squad, Rachel Wallace and Ezzy Legge, it's been more about developing players and having fun while playing games.
The new players that have stepped in have been working hard and have certainly took to the Wolves style of play. They certainly have fun on court and at practice.
Don't get me wrong, we've had some close games this season and have certainly played some nice basketball.
I'm extremely proud to coach this team and I'm certainly looking forward to more games with this team."
Q2. What do you think has been your toughest game this season and why??
"The toughest game of the season was definitely against Boroughmuir Blaze at our home.
The game had been re-scheduled due to Blaze not having enough players on the original date, and when the day of the game arrived, we only had 6 players available.
2 players during the game picked up knocks and battled on to make sure the game could be finished. Even although we only had 6 players for this game, I was extremely pleased with the way the players played on the day. Big shout out to all of them; Ezzy Legge, Rachel Wallace, Heather Fraser, Molly McHugh, Honor Campbell and last but not least Katie Simpson with her best game of the season."
Q3. What has been your favourite game this season and why??
"Our trip to Ayr Storm was our best game for me. We had lost the first game by 5 to them and knew that this game would also be a difficult one for us.
During the game, we moved the ball extremely well and made the right decisions with shots and drives.
Everyone worked hard and had a smile on their faces during the game. When players are having fun whilst working hard, this is what basketball is all about.
We finished this game with a 30pt win."
Q4. How are you feeling going into this year's playoffs??
"I'm excited for the playoffs. It's another chance for the girls to show how much fun they can have whilst playing a sport they love.
We will certainly be ready to give the QF game our all and see what happens at the end of the game."
Q5. If you could add one player you have faced this year at your age group to your squad, who would it be and why??
"Hmmm, now that's a question.
There are several players in the U18 league that have been effective and have given us a good run.
To mention a few; Rebecca Morrison, Sami Brown, Celina Eisenhardt have all been great against us.
In my opinion, my players might tell me otherwise lol, the best player that i've coached against is Maisie Huey. She gives me nightmares hahaha. She has amazing decision making, can handle the ball well and has great shooting range also."
